Patsy has been in advertising all her working life. She was a former suit
at Ogilvy & Mather Sydney and later, a partner at McCarthy, Watson and Spencer
Advertising. Long running campaigns started under her watch include; Oral B's
'Rob the Dentist' and Sussan's 'This Goes With That'. She is one of the few
suits to have written a Magic Lantern, approved by David Ogilvy himself.
Patsy founded FBI recruitment in 1994, which is now the region's foremost
creative recruitment company, with a clientele stretching around the world.
She knows everyone who's anyone in advertising, and the discoverer of many
stars of the future. Patsy's passion for all things creative sees her as an
instrumental partner to agencies globally in solving their creative leadership
problems.
Michael oversees the day-to-day operation of FBI recruitment and manages
the growing team of specialised consultants. Operationally, Michael focuses on
creative roles for agencies both regionally and in all major international
markets and has played a key role in unearthing and managing the careers of
our industry's future creative leaders.
Prior to joining FBI in 2005, Michael held senior production roles at some
of Sydney's largest advertising agencies including Leo Burnett and Grey, as
well as co-founding the YoungGuns International Advertising Awards in 2001,
which he is still actively involved in.
Stephen Fenn has over 10 years creative services recruitment experience in
both Sydney and London covering roles in studio, traffic and production.
In London, Stephen worked at Major Players, an award-winning marketing mix
recruitment agency, where he headed up the Creative Services team. Stephen is
a partner at FBI Recruitment.
Georgie's first job in advertising was as one of Australia's youngest
agency producers at Batey Kazoo. After 7 years at Batey, she freelanced for
the next couple of years as a TV, Print & Radio producer before moving to Los
Angeles where she worked as a producer whilst studying Film Producing at
UCLA.
After returning back to Australia, she returned to advertising working as
creative manager at one of Australia's leading agencies. In 2008 Georgie
joined FBI covering creative and design roles not only in permanent, but also
with a strong focus on freelance placements.
Graduating with a Commerce degree and a Diploma in Advertising, Ceci has spent
the last 10 years in Account Service at some of the largest creative agencies
in both Sydney and London. She's worked at George Patterson Y&R, the Furnace,
Ogilvy and most recently Account Director at Whybin TBWA. When in London, Ceci
spent most of her time at Rainey Kelly Y&R.
Ceci loves working with creative people and has joined FBI as Creative Talent
Manager looking after permanent creative placements.
Justine runs with scissors, swallows her gum and suffers from curls. Creative
and curious, she has a passion for photography, art direction, graphic design,
interiors, fashion and Hunter S Thompson – and for the last 17 years she has
been involved with all of these in one way or another.
She started out in advertising in Cape Town as a copywriter - then dabbled in
photography, but ended up in fashion and became a sought after stylist. Moving
to London in 2002 she joined Getty Images as a Senior Art Director where she
worked with award winning photographers. Four years later she was relocated to
Sydney to set up the Getty Images APAC Creative department and the Global
Assignments team.
Working with creative folk is what she does best so she has joined FBI to grow the design offering.
In her spare time Justine makes art and takes pictures on her iPhone.
Robbie is our resident expert on all things technical.
As FBI's technical specialist consultant focusing on the digital media market,
Robbie has the perfect background, arriving in Australia 3 years ago, he
established and ran the Software and Web application development desk with
REED's Specialist IT Recruitment team. So with his extensive technical and
market knowledge, Robbie's perfectly placed to help all of FBI's clients
across the digital media and advertising space, sourcing and supplying the
best UI designers, CMS experts, front & back-end developers and all those
roles full of acronyms, be it HTML, ASP, PHP and even some AS/2 or 3.
Following school, Jo headed overseas after a prolonged detour working in
various industries so as to fund her trip. After managing to blow her entire
savings in a month, Jo then spent several years working and travelling around
the US, UK, Europe, South East Asia and Canada.
On returning to Australia, Jo began working in an office support role for a
large recruitment firm, learning all the ins and outs of recruitment, before a
final extended trip to South America. Finally shaking the travel bug and
needing a break from living out of a bag, she returned to Australia to rejoin
the recruitment world and pursue the notion of ambition.
After completing her Bachelor of Business degree with majors in both
Finance and Accounting, Caron worked in the foreign exchange market with both
CBA and Westpac for a total of 13 years. Looking for a quieter and less
stressful work environment, she joined FBI in 2000. Her financial skills have
been well utilised over the past 10 years in an ever expanding capacity.
Astrid Boesze joined the management team of FBI recruitment to launch FBI
Europe and build the bridge of great talent between the Northern and Southern
Hemisphere.
As Head of Talent for 180Amsterdam for more than seven years, Astrid was
responsible for scouting and hiring all levels of world-class talent for the
agency. This required her to establish and maintain relationships with the
best (creative) talent in the world and keep a strong pulse on ever-changing,
fast-paced creative industry of advertising, design and digital.
Her BA is in Communications and Graphic Design and her Masters degree is in
Social Work and counselling, is a combination that has proven to be extremely
useful when working in the advertising and creative world.
Sophie started her advertising career in Paris and was quickly hired by Wieden
+ Kennedy as account manager when they opened shop in Amsterdam. At W+K she
transitioned into production before leaving to do freelance projects for the
Amsterdam creative community.
Sophie has been a connector of bringing businesses to the creative hub of
Amsterdam for many years. From organizing creative and production conferences
to helping production companies and agencies with PR and business development,
Sophie is the go-to person for all things creative in Amsterdam. She joined
FBI Europe in 2010.
Joining the FBI team in 2008, Nick was instrumental in establishing FBI's
digital division. Bringing over 10 years experience in both the industry as
well as leading creative recruitment agencies in Australia and London, he was
perfectly placed to assist clients and candidates navigate their way through
the digital world, as it matured into the incredibly diverse industry it is
today.
In August 2011, after 3 successful years with FBI Sydney, Nick relocated to
the UK to help establish the London operation, where he is responsible for
leading the ever-changing digital area - with a bias to creative, strategy and
innovation focused roles. Whilst he is based in London, Nick works very
closely with the Sydney and Amsterdam offices in the search for international
talent.
Davina recently launched FBI London alongside Nick Dean to work with and to
provide the best creative talent on all levels.
Graduating with a degree in Media Arts and Sociology, Davina began her
career as an agent's assistant for TV and news broadcasting where she
discovered her love for developing relationships with creative talent.
Before joining FBI London, Davina worked previously at The Talent Business
and Sacker Gooding, spending the last 5 years searching for superstar talent
across the globe. She thrives on managing careers, meeting diverse talent and
building relationships with creative agencies.
Outside the office she stills maintains her passion for film, TV, the arts
and everything else creative.
